I’m Jim Reardan, a consultant, trainer, entrepreneur, and writer with over 34 years of management experience across a wide range of industries.  Most of my career has been in the high-tech industry.  I’ve been a salesman, sales manager, technician, project manager, functional manager, business analyst, programmer, software tester, service manager, technical writer, and trainer.  On occasion, I’ve ventured into other businesses, but have always returned to the work I know best.

I’ve always been interested in how businesses are organized, how they operate, how they’re managed, and why they fail or succeed.  Family, friends, and colleagues tell me I sometimes tend to over-analyze things.  Maybe so.  I’ll admit that I like things to be well-planned, organized, efficient, and effective.  To me, that’s being practical.  But everyone has a right to their opinion.  The Business Process Journal is one of the platforms I’ll use to express mine.
